The staff of Intercommunity Housing Association is comprised of of two full time and two part time staff, and many volunteers for the committees, programs, facilities, and fundraising events.
Terry Hunn is the present Executive Director of Intercommunity Housing Association. He coordinates the two apartment complexes: Pillar Place Apartments and Compton Place Apartments. He handles tenant relations, screenings, lease renewals and does crisis management. He coordinates all programs for both sites, provides adult education, and heads the tenant leadership team. He coordinates the staff of IHA and facilitates the long range planning. He acts as a liaison to the management company and to other collaborative agencies. He has a bachelor's degree from Loyola University in New Orleans, and a master's degree in social work from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a member of the Missouri Association of Social Welfare, National Association of Social Workers, and the Coalition for the Missouri Housing Trust Fund. He is a board member of the collaboration of The Women of the Well.
Donna joined IHA’s staff as Program Director in July of 2008. Donna has extensive experience in children’s programs and child care. Prior to joining the staff at IHA, Donna has held various positions with the YMCA of Greater St. Louis. These included Program Coordinator for School Age Child Care, Site Director for School Age Child Care, Staff Trainer, and Summer Camp Activity Coordinator. Other work experience included Assistant Director at Love N Learn Child Care Center and a TA for St. Raphael and Annunciation Schools. She has volunteered extensively in a variety of areas at her present parish and previous parish for over 27 years. She has also volunteered her time at IHA and various other not-for-profit organizations through the years. Donna’s responsibilities include after school programming for the children, summer camp, womens’ day out program, spring and fall workshops for the women, activities for holidays, and organizing volunteers for programs.
, SSND has joined the staff of IHA as Assistant Coordinator of Client Services as of June 2008. Sister Vincella Lake is a native of St. Louis, Mo, the only child of Marie Bresnahann and Harry Vincent Lake. She graduated from Blessed Sacrament Grade School, Rosati-Kain High School, and Notre Dame College with a BA in History and a minor in Sociology. She received her MA in History from Lincoln University. In 1960 she entered the School Sisters of Notre Dame, became Sister Vincella in 1961, took first vows in 1962,and final vows in1967. She was a classroom teacher for 44 years teaching primary though high school, college, and adult education. In addition to teaching, she was involved in giving and directing retreats, workshops, and specialized skills classes, was the manager of a high school football team, and was the DJ of her own radio Jazz show( Sister V 's Jazz Flight).
Sr. Vincella’s duties include conducting initial and ongoing interviews with all tenants regarding tenant services. She will be assisting our families with setting long term and short term goals, and monitoring their progress achieving their goals. She loves working with people, animals, music, art, and is currently in the middle of writing a novel. Sr. Vincella believes in education as a liberating force for good. |
